Russian anti-aircraft gunners will learn to get into Carnation

In the NGO "Lightning" (part of the Kalashnikov concern), the hypersonic Gvozdika target is being developed. It will work out the capabilities of the country's missile weapons.

As noted in the concern, the development of the target is carried out on their own initiative, since the Swizy and Armavir analogue targets at our army’s disposal no longer meet the requirements of the times.

Abroad, too, successful developments of analogs are under way, but so far there is not a single country in the world where there is a rocket similar to the “Gvozdike”.

At the moment, a rather unsafe technique is being used for testing new weapons. The target missile is launched from an aircraft, and after it is shot, it must quickly leave the affected area, otherwise it will be shot down by its own anti-aircraft installations.

Rocket target "Carnation" has a slightly different launch algorithm, more secure. It is expected that the development work on this project will be completed in 2019 and after the tests “Gvozdiki” will be used by the Russian army.

Recall, today our country is a leader in the development of hypersonic weapons.
