The Chinese apparatus first trampled the moon from the back

On January 4, early in the morning, the Chinese device Chang'e-4 successfully sunk into the back of a natural satellite of the Earth. It became the first probe in history to land on the side of the Moon that is never visible from Earth.

As stated in the Chinese National Space Administration, landing the apparatus on the ground of the Moon opens a new chapter in the study of our satellite.

Recall, "Chang'e-4" was launched on December 7 last year. January 3, 2019 began the descent on the lunar soil. Initially, he hung at an altitude of 100 meters, in order to track down - if there are any dangers or roughness that prevented a soft landing. After that, he slowly sunk into the crater Karman, located in the southern hemisphere.

At the moment, the device is under the watchful supervision of Chinese engineers of the national space control. Since the day began on the far side of the moon, the module deployed solar panels. And preparing to launch a moon rover on the surface of the satellite.

According to the Chinese Space Administration, Chang'e-4 should study the radiation situation on the lunar surface and the chemical composition of rocks, measure the temperatures of local day and night, detect water, and also make a map of the lunar depths.

It is noteworthy that the Chinese mission was carried out on the cards of the far side of the Moon, which were left by Soviet scientists in the late 50s of the last century.
