Russian combat helicopters Ka-52 "Alligator", located in the Crimea, in the case of the outbreak of hostilities will be aimed at suppressing the air defense of Ukraine, located at the isthmus of the peninsula, the expert says.
The Ka-52 Alligator Russian reconnaissance and attack helicopters in the event of a probable conflict will ensure the neutralization of the air defense systems of Ukraine, says Malta’s military analyst Babak Tagwe in his twitter blog.
He bases his conclusions on the fact that not so long ago, "Alligators" took place near the Crimean city of Dzhankoy. Sixteen reconnaissance drums of helicopters for several days during training flights were trained to suppress air defense weapons.
By the way, not so long ago in the Russian media it was reported that the Ka-52 was beginning to be equipped with optics of increased accuracy and range of vision. This is necessary to increase the detection distance, and most importantly, the identification of detected objects.
