Poland fully equips its army according to American patterns. The other day Poland concluded negotiations with the United States on the supply of American missile systems HIMARS. Now the matter remains only on the date of the transaction.
According to Polish official sources, the value of the contract is $ 500 million. Half of this amount are themselves HIMARS, the remaining half will go to other necessary support systems - missiles, navigation systems, guidance and control, GPS-receivers.
Negotiations with Washington lasted for several years: the State Department did not approve the initial transaction in the amount of $ 655 million. However, in 2017 he approved it in the form of one hundred and fifty millions cut down.
Recall, HIMARS is a multifunctional multiple rocket launcher system. With it can be used as conventional unguided rockets, and guided ammunition and tactical missiles for various purposes.
