As our website has previously reported, a promising airline complex of long-range aviation, designated in the aircraft industry "PAK DA", is created on the basis of the company "Tupolev". In the foreseeable future, it should replace the Tu-160, Tu-95 and Tu-22M3 bombers in service with the Russian army.
According to official data, the strategic bomber-bomber of the new generation will be made according to the aerodynamic configuration of a “flying wing” (without tail) and built using stealth technology. It was also reported that the PAK DA will be subsonic and will be able to carry more weapons than the Tu-160.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, it is planned that PAK DA will make the first flight in 2025-2026. The beginning of its mass production is scheduled for 2028-2029.
