The domestic anti-long-range anti-aircraft complex S-400 "Triumph" has recently been in great demand in the international arms market. According to the American channel CNBC, citing competent sources who want to buy a "Russian anti-aircraft gun," at least 13 states.
Recall, the S-400 was adopted in 2007. For a long time talk about its export did not even start. However, in 2015, the first contract was signed with another state - China. Everything is clear with him - a strategic partner, if not an ally. However, under the terms of the transaction, the supply of anti-aircraft complex should begin no earlier than 2018. And this year began the massive export of C-400 abroad. International demand for the Russian air defense system immediately exceeded supply, causing a deficit.
Why so highly appreciated this anti-aircraft complex?
First, the range. “Triumph” with conventional “48N6” rockets knocks the plane at a distance of 250 km, and “long-range” rockets “40N6” neutralizes it from a distance of 380 km.
Secondly, in the design bureaus, the S-400s “podnataskali” shoot down not only aircraft, but also ballistic missiles. The S-400 has a maximum intercept target speed of 4.8 km / s. So quickly, medium-range ballistic missiles fly, for the reduction of which Gorbachev and Reagan so called for at one time.
At the moment, deliveries are made in three states - China, India and Turkey.
Next in line are Algeria, Vietnam, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and others.
