Syrian air defense missile system of Russian production "Pantsir-S1" was destroyed by the Israeli SkyStriker UAV. Reported by the news agency "Izvestia" with reference to military expert Vladislav Shurygin.
As noted by the Russian expert, the skydiving drone SkyStriker (sometimes referred to as drone-kamikaze), is a small low-speed (up to 190 kilometers per hour) unmanned aerial vehicle with a pushing propeller and an electric motor. The drone's mass is 35 kg, of which the warhead accounts for 5 to 10 kg. In the air, the drone is able to stay up to two hours. The control of the drone is carried out in the mode of tele-guidance.
Shurygin writes that "the use of this ammunition in the daytime presents a certain problem, since it is vulnerable even to small arms," but at night the raid of the "flock" of such kamikazes on the air defense position will be a serious problem for the enemy.
Recall that on the night of January 20-21, Israel attacked objects in Syria, where allegedly Iranian military bases are located. In the course of the strike, the objects attacked were severely damaged. The Pantsir-S1 complex was also destroyed.
