At Uralvagonzavod, a mobile caterpillar repair complex was created that is not terribly impassable in the Far North of Russia. It is specifically designed for the needs of the polar structures of the Federal Electric Networks "Unified Electrical Systems".
The main task of the all-terrain vehicle is to eliminate accidents and repair power lines in the wetlands of Ugra and Yamal.
To date, repair of power lines in the summer is carried out using helicopters, and in the snowy season, winter roads have to be laid - ice-rolled roads through swamps and water bodies.
Mobile repair complex - the offspring of the company "Vityaz" and the Chelyabinsk Mechanical Plant. It is created on the basis of the two-link conveyor "Vityaz". He does not care about such obstacles as swamps, snow virgin lands, off-road, rugged woodland. At the moment, there is nothing in the Russian power grid system even from a distance resembling this complex.
The first link of the mobile complex is a crane on tracks with a lifting capacity of 25 tons. It is equipped with a jib having a length of 27 m. And all this is carried by the Vityaz transporter. In the case of the conveyor there is a cabin for repair workers.
The second link is a kind of big and durable boat. It is necessary for the delivery of a crane to the site of the accident of power lines by water.
On land, the maximum speed of the "Vityaz" in full repair set is 35 km / h, on the water 4 km / h.
According to the statement of Federal Grid Company, the use of a new mobile complex will provide a technical opportunity to connect new consumers of electricity, as well as provide energy for pipelines carrying oil and gas from the north to the central region of Russia.
