Pacific Fleet Receives Loud

The corvette "Loud" this week after the completion of the test transferred to the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy.

The structure of the Pacific Navy entered the new corvette "Loud". It belongs to the class of patrol ships of the project 20380. It was laid down at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant more than six years ago, on April 20, 2012. The launch took place on July 28, 2017.

As part of the Pacific Fleet at the moment there is only one corvette - “Perfect”, also built according to project 20380 and handed over to the Navy in 2017. Prior to this, for 12 years there were no ships of this class in this fleet; the last patrol of the previous generation, the Flying (project 1135), was written off in 2005.

"Loud" - the sixth ship of the series, four corvettes are under construction. Some more ships are supposed to be built according to the improved project 20385. The construction of the entire series is delayed due to problems with the supply of diesel engines for the main power plant.

The project of the patrol ship 20380 was developed at the beginning of our century. The ship with a displacement of 2.1 thousand tons is armed with Uran anti-ship missiles, Redut anti-aircraft missile system, AK-630M and A-190 artillery mounts, and the Pack-NK anti-submarine defense system.
