North Korea expands ballistic missile production complex

DPRK leadership has moved to the final stage of increasing the production capacity of solid-propellant ballistic missiles, the range of which extends over the territory of the United States of America. The information was published on the official resource of the publication The Wall Street Journal.

The article states that such a conclusion was made by employees of the Middlebury Institute for International Studies, located in California. They carried out a full-fledged analysis of satellite images received from Planet Labs.

It is assumed that the company, located in Hamhung, engaged in the production of ballistic missiles, which can hit the strategically important facilities of the United States of America. Experts believe that such weapons can be used without prior preparation.

Employees of the institute believe that work on the expansion of the complex has already been engaged during the meeting of Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump in Singapore. The fact of carrying out such works proves that the DPRK is still working on programs for the production of such weapons. A spokesman for the US military noted that they constantly monitor the military forces of North Korea.

Nuclear weapon

The online publication 38 North provided information that the DPRK is actively engaged in the development of the nuclear center Yongbyon. The articles talk about already constructed buildings of unknown purpose and a rather large engineering center.

On the territory of Yongben there is an enterprise in which a 5 MW reactor for uranium enrichment is located. It was built in 1986. Expert opinions agree that within one year the necessary amount of material can be produced here to create a nuclear weapon.

The DPRK for the first time openly made statements on the creation of nuclear weapons on February 10, 2005, amending the constitution on nuclear status. With these actions, she caused concern on the part of Japan and the United States of America, since the founder of the DPRK, Kim Il Sung, advocated universal nuclear disarmament.
