Specialists of the holding "Roselectronika" (part of the state corporation "Rostec") have developed a new digital data transmission technology.
This is a promising means of receiving and transmitting information via short-wave communication channels. HF receivers are widely used in the Russian armed forces to organize command and control of troops. HF-band radio channels are among the most difficult in terms of noise-immune communication channels. The development of the Kaluga Scientific Research Institute of Telemechanical Devices (the structure of "Ruselectronics") significantly increased the length of the transmitted messages from 1000 bits to several Mbit. The probability of not giving combat control signals does not exceed 1%.
For the production of the first basic software and hardware complex, engineers from the Kaluga enterprise have worked out special design documentation, the basis of which is the most modern technologies.
A prototype of the equipment will be created in the near future. Immediately after this, the developers plan to conduct preliminary and subsequent acceptance tests.
The Russian military have quite successful operating experience of the tele-mechanical devices of high-speed communications equipment R-098, produced by aircraft, warships and submarines, produced by the Kaluga Research Institute. The creators of the promising complex are hoping that their new development will seriously interest the Russian military.
It should also be noted that, according to experts in the field of military equipment and weapons, this development of Kaluga has a significant export potential.
