The National Interest magazine: The obsolete technologies of the twentieth century were used in disguise of the Russian Su-57

The experts of the American magazine The National Interest concluded that the fifth-generation Russian fighter, the Su-57, is not successful in terms of stealth. The technologies that are used in our fighter have long ago been successfully recognized by modern radars.

The journal article states that the “pixel” color, which is used to increase the stealth of the aircraft, is outdated in the past century. Our time requires new quality solutions.

Of course, such a color of the fuselage can deceive the human eye - but alas, it is powerless against technology. It was not in vain that military designers came up with and brought to perfection such units as radar with an active phased antenna array and missiles with an infrared homing head. Thus, modern air-to-air and ground-to-air homing systems automatically detect an air target.

Presumably, this is a jealous response of the United States to the words of the general designer of the Sukhoi military concern, Mikhail Strelets. He said that the Su-57 significantly exceeds the American counterparts of the F-22 Raptor type and the F-35 Lightning II in a number of parameters.

And despite the fact that in Russia the technology "stealth" is used only to a limited extent - however, there are solutions that are not inferior in efficiency to this technique. According to representatives of the concern "Sukhoi", the Su-57 imperceptible make a number of features, such as "pixel" coloring of the fuselage, the shape of the airframe, as well as a special surface coating. And, of course, the ability of a fighter to develop cruising supersonic speed.
