The Pentagon decided to spend $ 30 million on the implementation of the first stage of the CyberWorx project. It aims to train military personnel in the field of cybersecurity.
Financial resources will be spent on the construction of training facilities at the Academy of the Air Force, stationed in the state of Colorado. The US Department of Defense plans to build several training grounds. The fact is that the Pentagon is concerned about the search for specialists in the field of cyber security, in particular, instructors and developers of training programs.
The initiatives coming from the US Department of Defense are a direct consequence of President Trump’s policy, which announced that the United States should be more aggressive in the field of cyberspace. But all these attempts are limited by the lack of qualified personnel who should be engaged in the training of American military personnel. In the past, training was carried out during the training sessions, but this practice showed low efficiency.
Jennifer McArdle of the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments of the United States notes that the training conducted today is not able to create conditions in which cyberspace fighters can effectively master.
