The US once again attacked Russia for an imaginary violation of the INF.

The United States once again sharply accused Russia of violating the terms of the Treaty on the Elimination of Medium and Short Range Missiles. So the US ambassador to the Russian Federation, John Huntsman, said that the American side had provided Moscow with "a significant amount of information confirming the violations," but Russia "continues to deny that it has committed illegal actions."

According to him, the 9M729 cruise missile is based on the ground and during the tests it covered a distance substantially exceeding 500 km. And at the end of the day, Huntsman emphasized that such a Russian rocket posed a direct threat to European and global security.

Recall that last week the United States announced that they would suspend their membership in the INF Treaty on February 2, simultaneously accusing Russia of numerous violations of the agreement. A few days later, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a symmetrical response and ordered Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to begin developing previously banned classes of missiles.
