Unusual hand grenades - high-explosive cardboard

The American-made MK3 hand grenade was originally designed to destroy enemy personnel, which could barricade itself in isolated rooms, such as bunkers, dugouts, upper floors of buildings, and even basements. In all such places, it was inefficient to use conventional fragmentation grenades, so the MK3 was invented with a body made of pressed cardboard. As a result of the explosion of such a grenade almost no fragments. Of course, those against whom it will be used, most likely, will not have time to rejoice at this fact.

The grenade hits the enemy's manpower with the help of a blast wave: thanks to 227 grams of TNT, a fairly powerful blast wave is created. In the closed spaces of various bunkers, the wave is amplified due to the effect of reflection from the walls, as a result of which the wave simply sweeps away all life in its path. In an open area, the use of such a grenade is ineffective, since the damage radius is only 2 meters. The upgraded version of this grenade is marked MK3A2 and is already packed in a metal case.
