Americans see all Russian nuclear submarines

It seems that another scandal is brewing in the military. Recently it became clear that the secrecy of Russian nuclear submarines - their main combat ability - exists only in the admirals' fantasies. This writes the publication "Military Industrial Courier."

The Americans, our main potential enemy, do not even bother to search for Russian submarines; they initially know where this or that submarine is located. Worst of all, it is absolutely incomprehensible how they do it.

Subtlety and low noise - this is the main "weapon" of any submarine. In the USSR, and later in Russia, billions of dollars were spent on ensuring the invisibility of nuclear-powered icebreakers. If the Americans really learned how to easily detect Russian nuclear icebreakers, then this could be a real catastrophe for the country's defense capability. In the event of a global conflict, the sea part of our "nuclear triad" will be instantly destroyed.

During the recent exercises in the Barents Sea, it became obvious that the Americans are well aware of exactly where the Russian nuclear submarines are located. North Sea submarine officers put on the map the flight routes of the Lockheed P-3 Orion anti-submarine aircraft with the coordinates of our submarines. And all ten points of his turns coincided with the location of our submarines. It looked like the plane was not looking for a submarine, but knew exactly where it was located. I went to the required square and dumped the buoy.

It is absolutely incomprehensible how the Americans manage to perform such tasks. Russian sailors suggest that in this case, the potential enemy uses some of the latest satellite technology that can detect submarines even at considerable depths.

The author also complains about the inefficient use of funds and the voluntarist distribution of funding, most of which goes to the needs of the submarine fleet. At the same time, surface shipbuilding and naval aviation remain on "starvation". For example, earlier it was stated that the newest search and targeting complex "Novella" increases the efficiency of the IL-38 four times. The only problem is that the capabilities of this aircraft to detect low-noise enemy submarines is zero, and even with the new complex, it is still not able to track modern American submarines.

The new nuclear ships of the Borey and Yasen projects are planned to be equipped with anti-torpedo protection systems, the technical tasks for which were prepared as early as the late 80s of the last century. And this is despite the fact that two generations of torpedo weapons have changed since that time. If this project is implemented, it will become just a waste of money.

It became known earlier that the United States and its allies in the NATO bloc decided to unite efforts to create naval anti-submarine autonomous systems. So they hope to counter the strengthening of the Russian submarine fleet. The agreement was signed by 13 NATO member states as early as July of this year, but it has become known only now. Research in this area will be conducted in parallel, which, according to the developers of the document, will create competition between manufacturers.

"NATO members are concerned about the growing threat from Russian submarines and are investing more resources to cope with this ... This new multinational cooperation on submarine drones is the most recent example that NATO perceives the Russian threat in the North Atlantic more seriously than in the last quarter century ", - said a member of the Atlantic Council, Jorge Benitez.
