The automatic casting station ARS-14 is a special mobile engineering and technical tool that ensures the implementation of the chemical troops division of the most important preventive measures. The machine is intended for transportation of specially prepared liquids that ensure the operation of army chemical, radiation and biological protection complexes. The special tool allows you to transport, pump and store various liquids, solutions and formulations used by the chemical units during the processing of military equipment, road transport and construction machinery.
Development and creation of an auto-casting station ARS-14
The need to create such equipment, which increases the efficiency of the chemical units, arose in the late 1950s. The appearance in service of the armies of a potential adversary of tactical nuclear weapons, the high likelihood of the use of poisonous substances forced the Soviet military to look for ways out. As a result of urgent measures, chemical troops began to be replenished with special machines that ensure rapid decontamination and degassing of military facilities. The auto-pouring station ARS-14 has become an integral part of the new engineering and technical complexes.
The equipment and the car tank were installed on the chassis of the ZIL-131 off-road vehicle. New technology began to arrive in the troops from the mid 60s. A lot of cars were transferred to the fire brigade, where they were successfully used in extinguishing fires of varying complexity.

The automatic casting station ARS-14 remained for a long time on equipping the chemical troops, the units of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. In 2011-13, about 2,000 vehicles decommissioned were handed over to Emergencies Ministry units.
