The new modernized helicopter Mi-26T2V has successfully passed the next stage of flight tests. At present, the program of state joint tests is being finalized at the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. After the tests, its serial deliveries to the troops will begin.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, joint tests should be completed during the first quarter of 2019. A serial delivery of the helicopter is scheduled to begin before the end of 2019.
By the way, the first flight of the modernized machine took place in August 2018.
The new helicopter differs from the basic model Mi-26 with a modern integrated complex of on-board radio-electronic equipment, which greatly simplifies piloting. In addition, it allows you to automatically perform a flight on the route, the exit at a predetermined point, the approach, as well as pre-landing maneuvering and return to the main or alternate airfields.
In addition to this, a digital aerobatic complex was installed on the helicopter, and colored liquid crystal multifunctional indicators appeared in the cockpit, which significantly reduced the load on the flight crew.
