The head of the Turkish Republic Efendi Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to compete with Russia in the arms market. This was recently announced by the German magazine Mir (Die Welt).
According to the President of Turkey, in the foreseeable future, the country should become a weapon giant of global importance along with Russia, China and the United States and shake the world's population with a super weapon of its own production.
According to the magazine, the President of Turkey has repeatedly categorically assured the public that as recently as 2023 his country would be self-sufficient in terms of weapons production. For as long as the Turkish Fatherland consumes advanced military technology, it will not be able to become truly free.
In general, Turkey will produce everything according to its own developments, from tanks to rocket complexes, by the specified deadline.
By the way, progress in this plan is already noticeable. At the end of 2018, Turkey overtook Israel in arms exports. Its sales volume has already reached $ 2 billion, which is 14% more than last year.
The author of the publication in a German magazine draws the attention of readers to the fact that over 13 years of development and production of Turkish ships, tanks, helicopters and airplanes, they literally “swallowed” billions of dollars. Obviously, Ankara’s defense projects will require funding in the future.
