The new Chinese fighter of the fourth generation J-10B is not a problem to perform the "Pugachev Cobra". In addition, J-10B performed about a dozen lightweight aerobatics with ease. Such a show was presented by the CAIG Chinese Aircraft Building Corporation at the Airshow China Air Show.
According to experts, the maneuverability of the new Chinese fighter is impressive with its dynamics and ease. In the Air Force of the world there are few similar analogues. Among the Russians, this is the Su-30, the Su-35S, the Su-57, and the Americans have the F-22. However, according to the comments of the military from the Celestial Empire, the overseas fighter somewhat falls short of maneuverability to the Chinese.
Such flight virtuosity is achieved by applying thrust vector control. For this purpose, a special nozzle is used in the engine model.
Recall that at the air show J-10B showed the audience a few aerobatics, such as the Cobra Pugachev and Maple Leaf. The Pugachev Cobra was first demonstrated in the 1990s of the last century. In her performance, the plane, moving forward, lifts its nose, dropping back. Ideally, it should turn vertically and fly almost tail forward, and then return to a "normal" flight. "Maple Leaf" is no less difficult, but more dangerous exercise. When it is demonstrated, the plane lowers the engine thrust to almost zero, starts free-fall "on the belly" and swings from wing to wing, really reminding a leaf falling from a branch. Reaching a certain height, the machine increases the craving and soars up again.
According to the developers, in order to achieve perfection in such maneuverability, the Chinese aircraft will need more work.
