In Russia, on the basis of the holding company "High-precision complexes" - JSC "Shcheglovsky Val" completed the development of the air defense system "Pantsir", designed to operate in the far north.
According to the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Aleksey Krivoruchko, the first arctic set of the Pantsir-SA anti-aircraft missile-gun complex will arrive in the army this year, and its combat duties will begin in the coming days.
In addition, the deputy head of the Russian military department checked how the work on the serial production of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile-gun systems, as well as the Berehok and Bakhcha-U combat compartments for equipping the BMP and BMD, is proceeding. Alexey Krivoruchko also inspected the Cornet and Arkan anti-tank missiles, 30-mm automatic cannons and small arms.
The Deputy Minister of Defense also familiarized himself with samples of weapons and military equipment produced at the enterprise and awarded the medals of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation "For Labor Valor", "For Strengthening the Combat Commonwealth", "Mikhail Kalashnikov" to the distinguished workers of the KBP.
- In 2019, an experimental batch of BMP-3 with a promising combat module "Epoch" and modernized BMP-2 with a new combat module "Berezhok" is expected to be delivered. We also plan to conclude a long-term contract for the serial supply of more than 150 new BMP-3s, ”added Alexei Krivoruchko.
