Lithuania wants to block Kaliningrad

New self-propelled guns of German production will allow Lithuania to control almost the entire territory of the Kaliningrad region.

The German army shared with Lithuania self-propelled artillery installations. In the mechanized brigade of Lithuania "Iron Fist" has already received two SAU PzH-2000. And in the coming year will arrive another 18 pieces.

The contract was signed for the supply of artillery systems, previously located in the warehouses of the German army. According to the Lithuanian-German treaty, the belligerent Baltic republic, in addition to self-propelled artillery installations, will also receive 26 armored command vehicles M577 V2 and six armored evacuation vehicles BPZ2. Issue price - 16.2 million euros.

Recall that the ACS PzH-2000 is one of the most advanced self-propelled guns of all similar in the armies of the world. Its caliber is 155 mm, the firing range is up to 40 km. Staff kit - 60 shells. Firing speed - 10 shots per minute.

The most unpleasant thing in this matter is that such a firing range will allow to sweep almost half of the Kaliningrad region. And also, as experts note, to control and provide cover from the Lithuanian side of the Suwalki corridor. This is a section of the Polish-Lithuanian border that could connect Belarus and the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.

It is here, in the paranoid version of the NATO generals, that the Russian-Belarusian breakthrough towards Europe should be accomplished. Despite the fact that neither Moscow nor Minsk has ever given rise to the emergence of such conjectures and everywhere demonstrate peacefulness and promote good-neighborly relations, NATO generals are not embarrassed in any way. After all, it is under this pretext that we can legally pursue further militarization of the region. And the UN is not a decree!
