Four countries of the world - Russia, China, Iran and the DPRK - are challenging the US space. This is stated in the report of the Intelligence Agency of the US Department of Defense, distributed at the beginning of the week.
As noted in the report, the military departments of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China are especially interested in space. Both of these countries have developed space militaristic structures, including space reconnaissance. In addition, both countries have the potential to search for satellites of a potential enemy in space. They may also be affected by EW systems.
As for Iran and North Korea, the report says that they represent a challenge to the armed forces using space components. Iran and North Korea support the independent potential of space launches, which can be used to test ballistic missile technology.
According to the report, the US still has an advantage in the space sphere, but further improvement of the capabilities of these countries could become a “threat” to the US space potential.
