Russian volunteer from the Lugansk militia killed in a prison in Lviv

Russian volunteer Valery Ivanov, who fought on the side of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, was severely beaten by the guards of the Lviv prison and later died from the beatings.

Olga Kobtseva, an official representative of the LNR, told reporters about the brutal beating and death of the Russian volunteer Valeriy Ivanov in the prison of the western Ukrainian city of Lvov. According to Kobtseva, Ivanov was on the list for the exchange, which took place as early as December last year, but at the last moment the Kiev authorities excluded him from there.

Kobtseva also noted that the LNR would require the Ukrainian authorities to transfer the body of a Russian to the Lugansk People’s Republic.
