Russia has assembled the most powerful engine for space programs

In Russia, on the basis of NPO Energomash, the first copy of the RD-171MV engine was assembled. Presumably it will be used in a promising medium-class rocket "Soyuz-5" ("Irtysh"). To date, the engine is being prepared for state tests.

According to experts, in no country in the world is this engine equal in power.

When creating an RD-171MV engine for the first time in the industry, digital design and production is used.

Earlier in February, it was reported that the Progress Rocket and Space Center (Roscosmos) is carrying out a draft design of the new Russian Soyuz-7 launch vehicle with the conventional name Volga, which will use the RD-180 engine supplied in the USA and not RD-171MV.
