In 2019, the first samples of the newest air defense complex S-350 Vityaz will receive a training center for the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Leningrad Region.
As explained in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the S-350 Vityaz system is designed to fight primarily with massive aerospace attack weapons - cruise missiles, manned aircraft, medium and heavy-duty drones, tactical ballistic missiles.
The peculiarity of the C-350 is the possibility of reviewing and firing targets in a circular mode, and not only in the sector one, like in the C-300. Also, the new air defense system significantly increased the number of simultaneously fired targets and guided missiles.
The ammunition of the complex includes medium-range missiles used in the S-400 air defense missiles and short-range missiles. "Vityaz" is designed to replace the S-300PS ZRS with B55R missiles.
