Employees of the American diplomatic mission were subjected to acoustic attack by local crickets. Such a conclusion was made by researchers who ascertained the nature of the sound aggression allegedly directed by Cuban intelligence agencies against long-suffering diplomatic workers from the United States.
In 2017, more than 20 diplomats from the American embassy in Cuba began to complain of headaches, poor sleep and difficulties with hearing.
The US State Department suggested that the diplomats were attacked using special equipment, but how exactly it was not clarified. The investigation of this incident continues to this day.
