Unusual hand grenades - cumulative parachute

The Soviet anti-tank grenade RKG-3 was put into service in the 50s of the last century. Unlike conventional high-explosive type of grenades, this grenade does not simply detonate, when it detonates, a cumulative jet is created that easily penetrates tank armor, even a frontal one with a thickness of more than 200 mm. Of course, for this to happen, there is some condition - the projectile must be undermined at a right angle to the surface that must be pierced.

And precisely for this, such grenades were equipped with a so-called parachute, which served as a stabilizer, so that the grenade flew into the tank at the right angle. The parachute opened immediately after the throw.

Thanks to a charge weighing 500 grams of TNT, the RKG-3 quickly gained the ill fame of a dangerous grenade, not only for its enemies, but also for its own. The trouble is that if the grenade detonated at least 10 meters away from the grenade thrower, then it would get a serious contusion. Of course, over time, the RKG-3 was replaced by more effective and safe anti-tank grenades.
