Tank biathlon - 2018 will take place in August

In the framework of the "International Army Games", which will be held in August 2018, will be held competitions in "Tank Biathlon". The purpose of this event - to show the skills of tankers. The competition will be held in the village of Alabino, on a special tank training ground. Such countries as Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and others will take part in the "Tank Biathlon".

Rules of the game

The competition is team. The team consists of 4 crews (3 main and 1 reserve), a group of trainers and support staff. The team can recruit no more than 20 people.

The competition consists of two qualifying rounds and a final. It is known that on August 1 and 2 the 1st stage of the competition will take place, which will include an individual race on a route of 21 km. The second stage will be held on August 15 and will be held in the format of the relay. After the first stage, the best tank platoon and crew from the military districts of the Russian Armed Forces will be determined.

The second stage will be held by analogy with the ski biathlon - the relay race in three arrivals along the route of more than 18000 m. Moreover, if the team misses, then she receives a penalty in the form of an additional 500 meters.

This event assesses not only the coherence of the crew, but also the quality of the tank commander. He must properly assess the situation, be able to determine the order of destruction of targets. Judging is carried out by a specially prepared board. The crew result is the time taken to complete the main distance and the time added due to the non-fulfillment of the estimated indicators while passing obstacles.

Track

"Tank biathlon" will be held on the prepared track. A special complex of obstacles and platforms for the event was prepared on its vast territory. The main obstacles are fords, hills, walls, scarp. Thanks to such a complete platform, teams will have the opportunity to show an impressive show.
