What will be the new American "stealth" bomber

American designers of aviation technology have begun to build a new bomber capable of carrying nuclear weapons, which should come to replace the B-52H Stratofortress, B-1B Lancer and B-2A Spirit aircraft in service with the United States Air Force.

It is expected that the new strategic strike air complex will begin to enter the troops in the mid-2020s under the name of B-21 Raider.

The appearance of the new car Americans keep secret. At least, until today it is not publicly available, except for the widely replicated image written by the artist, you will not find other photos or presentations.

However, this does not mean that there are no any leaks at all on the new car. It is assumed that the aircraft will fly at subsonic speeds. The design is made according to the aerodynamic scheme "flying wing" with the wide use of modern and promising technologies, including those aimed at reducing the radar visibility, known as "stealth".

Surely other secret technologies can be used in a B-21 Raider bomber. For example, recently the media “leaked” information about testing a prototype aircraft that does not have mechanically deviating steering surfaces. We are talking about an adaptive controlled wing, the profile of which takes the form close to the optimal flight mode.

Scientists from the University of Massachusetts, together with the engineers of the British company BAE Systems, declare the success of the experiment with an unmanned aerial vehicle and hope that the technologies tested in practice will be used in the created airborne systems.

Minimizing steering surfaces that are deflected in flight, such as slats, flaps, and ailerons, will significantly reduce the aircraft’s radar visibility, which is important for a bomber during the execution of the task of suppressing enemy air defense targets.
