The Black Sea Fleet will be replenished with a small rocket ship

On December 10, the seventh small rocket ship of the type 21631 "Buyan", built at the Gorky Zelenodolsk plant, will be delivered to the Black Sea Fleet. The vessel was named in honor of the Moscow region city of Orekhovo-Zuyevo.

This ship will be the second of the modern small rocket ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

The Orekhovo-Zuyevo was launched in June this year. And at the end of the summer passed running and other state tests. During the past month, he passed combat tests, hitting both flood and aerial targets. The ship showed a good side. Now it is officially accepted into the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy.

By the beginning of the coming year, the Black Sea Fleet will consist of 12 ships that can carry modern Caliber missile weapons.

Recall the small rocket ships of the project 21631 "Buyan" have a displacement of 949 tons, a length of 75 m, a width of 11 m. The maximum speed is 25 knots. Crew 52 people. These ships can be autonomous sailing up to 10 days. On his own, he can carry up to eight of the newest Calibr cruise missiles.
