The thermal machine for special treatment TCM-65M is an engineering and technical special vehicle of the chemical troops. The main purpose is the chemical supply of troops and civilian infrastructure facilities with chemical protection agents. It is used in the military and at industrial civilian facilities in conditions of the use of chemical weapons or in the spread of harmful chemical hazardous components as a result of industrial accidents.
Creation period and technical design features
The machine was created in the late 60s of the XX century. The need for such a special technique arose as a result of the presence in the armament of modern troops of a large number of chemical munitions. The special tool was supposed to be one of the elements of the chemical supply complex of the army units in wartime and in the event of an emergency in the peace period. The main set of equipment is installed on the chassis of the all-terrain vehicle "Ural-375".
The working complex includes a towed tank PC-5,6-817, which provides the necessary water supply for the complex to work in the field.
The heat engine for special handling of the TMS-65M was part of the brigades and battalions of the USSR chemical forces. Today this equipment is on the equipment of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
