Armored Russian cars "Tigr-M" of the new generation entered the units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District, located in Abkhazia.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, ten Tiger-M vehicles entered the Russian military base in Abkhazia.
Recall, the Russian "Tigers" are intended for reconnaissance, escort and guard columns, patrols and fire support units. The upgraded Tiger belongs to the fifth class of ballistic protection in the frontal projection and to the third in the side and stern projections. Inside there is a special communication system, on the roof there is a rotating turret for the Kord, Pecheneg machine guns or the AGS-17 Flame automatic mounted grenade launcher.
The cabin is equipped with seats for the driver, older cars and troops. There are cells for ammunition, communications equipment and a lock of radio-controlled explosive devices. In addition, the armored car is equipped with systems for automatic regulation of air pressure in tires, automatic fire extinguishing, pre-heater and electric winch self-pulling.
The curb weight of the Tigra-M is 6.5 tons, the power reserve is one thousand kilometers, with a possible maximum speed of more than 120 kilometers per hour. Also, according to the plan of re-equipment of the district troops, about 10 modern portable radar stations of the Sobolyaatnik artillery reconnaissance were put into the compound.
