Su-57 did not meet expectations?

Some foreign media, namely Business Insider, are trying to convince everyone that the 5th generation Russian fighter Su-57 did not meet the expectations of the Russian military. They say that its unique abilities are weak and the volume of purchases of this aircraft for the needs of the Russian Aerospace Force is insignificant.

Recall that at the moment, only 10 Su-57 airplanes are in service with domestic Aerospace Forces. In total, the army made an order for 12 such aircraft. At the same time, the air forces of the United States already have more than 360 F-35 units, an internationally recognized 5th generation fighter, on air bases. As well as his senior colleague F-22 - another 170 pieces. Moreover, the newspaper notes, only one of the assembled Su-57 today has an improved engine, which can be attributed to the fifth generation of power plants.

In general, the Su-57 is not a production aircraft. And, if, God forbid, war, there will be no sense from it.

At the same time, the publication notes that the Su-57 may serve as a kind of test aircraft complex for modern and advanced radars and other onboard systems, including hypersonic armament control complexes. And of course, the Su-57 will help Russian manufacturers to advance in the development of technology "stealth".

By the way, India at one time sharply criticized this plane, citing its insufficient level of invisibility.

In general, says the American edition, Russia in the pursuit of the manufacture of the fifth generation fighter failed.
