US military suffers from obesity and insomnia

The fact that there are a lot of obese people in the USA is no secret to anyone. At the very least, data from the research corporation RAND speak of this problem in the American armed forces.

According to statistics, 66% of the US military - and this, by the way, has over 1 million soldiers, sailors and officers (including reserve and national guard) - weighs more than the body weight requirements of the Pentagon.

Employees of recruitment centers are forced to refuse every third applied for service in the US military because of non-compliance with physical standards.

If we specify data on the types of armed forces, the picture is as follows: ground troops lead with 69.4% of obese, followed by the coast guard (67.8%), then the naval forces (64.6%), military -air forces (63.1%) and this is not the most prestigious list closes the marines with 60.9%.

In addition, about 9% of the US military regularly, take daily, take sleeping pills, most in the army - 10.6%, in the marines - 9.9%, BBC - 7.5% and Navy - 6%.

At the same time, almost 60% of servicemen complain about the lack of sleep, and 33.2% do not hide the fact that energy drinks are regularly used to maintain performance.

This is the most powerful military organization in the world.
