The United Arab Emirates purchased the Kornet-E anti-tank missile systems and the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun systems in Russia for the needs of the army. Purchase price - 51.8 million dollars. The transaction took place in the framework of the exhibition IDEX Sun UAE.
The Brigadier General of the Armed Forces of the Emirates, Hassaini, told TASS that the United Arab Emirates had entered into a contract for the maintenance of the Pantsir with the Russian company Precision Systems. For the service, according to the agreement, the Russian arms enterprise should receive more than 12 million dollars.
The UAE’s Russian naval missile systems Pantsir-ME are still eyeing it, since the launch of the complex took place not so long ago.
Recall, "Pantsir-ME" provides reliable protection of ships from all types of existing and prospective means of air attack. It can be placed on ships with a displacement of 300 tons.
In total, on the first day of the defense exhibition, contracts worth over a billion dollars were concluded.
