International sanctions aimed at reducing the competitiveness of the Russian economy could not hinder the development of its industry, including the defense industry. This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation on the issues of the defense-industrial complex Yury Borisov.
According to him, our country today has a stable second place in arms sales. Russia's share in the international market reached about 22% in 2018, said Y. Borisov in an interview with the Russia 24 TV channel.
Recall, the arms market is very complicated. Demand and supply there change quickly and categorically. However, Russia has established itself there and does not intend to give up its positions.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, our country has close trade relations with more than 100 countries. The main buyers of our products are traditionally China, India, Algeria, and Vietnam.
In general, Russia annually sends for the export of weapons in the amount of 15 billion dollars.
