Armenia buys AK-12 from Russia

Russia, according to the contract, for the beginning will deliver 50 units of AK-12 assault rifles to Armenia. As noted in the leadership of the Kalashnikov concern, this is the first batch of new generation automatic weapons.

Today Armenia will be the first country to buy AK-12 assault rifles from Russia. The first batch is designed for military personnel and experts to test this new weapon. In the future, both countries have plans to increase its supply.

Recall AK-12 caliber 5.45 mm and AK-15 caliber 7.62 mm were adopted by the Russian Defense Ministry in early 2018. The machine will gradually replace the AK-74. The weapon was developed as part of the “Warrior” program as an element of a promising set of equipment for the fighters of the Armed Forces of Russia.
