Aircraft TU-95 Bear crashed in the Far East

Just today it became known that an emergency occurred in the Amur region. The TU-95 bomber, nicknamed “Bear” by NATO’s codification, left the runway during non-combat flights due to engine malfunction.

As our channels reported, the engine caught fire at the strategic bomber, as a result of which the aircraft left the permissible limits. Fortunately, there was no ammunition onboard the aircraft, which played a very positive role.

Despite the fact that at the time of the accident there was a regular, experienced crew in the cabin, we could not manage without victims. One crew member died on the spot, the second was hospitalized with serious injuries. For the investigation of the incident took a special commission of the Air Force. It is also reported that all flights of the missile carriers of this model were suspended. At a minimum, until the causes of engine fires are determined.
