The washing neutralization machine 8Т311 is a multi-purpose mobile special engineering and technical tool. The main scope of use and application is washing with military and civilian equipment by neutralizing the negative effects of aggressive media and liquids used in the operation of military and civilian facilities.
Machine development and mass production
The need for such special equipment arose when Soviet engineering troops began to be attracted to rocket launches being carried out, to participate in the production cycle of the rocket-building industry. The high toxicity of rocket fuel components, the presence of aggressive chemical agents and liquids in the technological process required the presence of special washing equipment in the troops. The special engineering and technical equipment created at the beginning of the 60s - washing-neutralizing machine 8Т311 was to cope with such a task successfully.
Soviet military engineers decided to install a set of necessary equipment on the chassis of a heavy-duty truck ZIL-157. After testing, the military recognized the machine as extremely effective and recommended it for mass production.
Serial production was carried out at the plant "Fire special equipment" in the city of Torzhok, Tver region. The washing neutralization machine 8T311 on the basis of the ZIL-157 was produced for 10 years, from 1959 to 1969, after which it was decided to refit the installation on the chassis of the ZIL-131.
