Estonia presents a new drone with support for VTOL

Estonian company Threod Systems presented its new unmanned aerial vehicle with the possibility of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL).

Threod Systems has published material on social networks, which states: "We are proud to announce that Threod Systems has successfully integrated the capabilities of VTOL into our NATO Class I UAVs. Special algorithms and VTOL functions have been developed for the new drone."

VTOL provides greater mobility and convenience, especially in difficult terrain conditions. This allows the use of UAVs in a confined space, indoors and in urban environments. It also helps operations in a natural environment, such as forests or mountain areas. It is important that the UAV can be controlled from a combat or rescue ship.

Threod Systems specializes in the development, production and operation of unmanned aircraft systems that are designed to collect and use information for military, government and civilian purposes.
