ZIL-4502 - a shortened version of the legendary truck ZIL-130, which is used in the industrial sector. The old power plant was improved: the volume was increased to 6 liters, eight cylinders were installed, the shape of which was preserved. The new power unit at 3.2 thousand revolutions developed up to 150 horsepower. At 1.6-1.8 thousand revolutions, the maximum torque was reached - 402 Nm.
The design is complemented by an economizer and a mechanical pump for acceleration. The mechanical pump includes a pneumatic regulator of the crankshaft speed of the centrifugal type. For lubrication of engine parts meets the combined system (the lubricant is supplied under pressure and spray). The lubricant undergoes a deep filtration process (performed by a mechanism consisting of thin steel plates).
The fuel pump is responsible for the forced feeding of the power unit. It consists of an exhaust and two intake valves. Blowing the crankcase is a closed way. Gearbox and transmission
