In Moscow and Tatarstan, will begin to test the UAVs

We already got used to flying UAVs. However, the other day, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev gave the go-ahead for testing unmanned vehicles.

Two subjects of the federation, the capital of our country, Moscow and the Republic of Tatarstan, were chosen as test sites. Test runs start on the first day of winter - December 1st. Their completion is scheduled for March 1, 2022.

Moreover, cars will be tested on public roads. All tests will be about 100 units of unmanned vehicles. Of course, the driver-instructor will be in them for insurance - in case something goes wrong in the experiment, and then he will immediately switch the control of the vehicle to himself.

It is noteworthy, as the Prime Minister of Russia stressed, that besides technical issues, it is also necessary to harmonize the regulations relating to the rules of the road. For at the moment a driver must be in any car without fail.

The developers of unmanned cars claim that within six months they will prepare all the necessary amendments to federal regulations relating to traffic rules.

In the future, this kind of unmanned technology should be actively used both on the railway and in the field of logistics.
