Japanese kaiken combat knife - Kwaiken

The Japanese dagger, which has its roots in history, at a time when samurai were still in class. The main purpose of this dagger was self-defense, and, as a rule, in closed small rooms, where it was difficult or simply impossible to use a long samurai sword. Thanks to its small size, the knife was perfectly able to hide from prying eyes.

The knife was used by both men and women. He did not change his purpose, although sometimes he was used as a means of murder. Earlier Kaiken was an integral part of the wedding gifts to the woman. In modern Japanese history, kaiken has not lost its significance, and it is still used in the wedding ceremony. It is believed that if the bride takes a kaiken during the wedding, she will be lucky.
