Weapons of Russia will be developed on domestic computers

In Russia, work is under way on the creation of a domestic supercomputer for the needs of developers of unique and promising weapons. Its main feature is that it will be assembled at 100% of domestic components.

The works are carried out at the base in NPO Molniya (the Kalashnikov arms concern). However, this complex work unites the efforts of more than five corporations.

As a result, the supercomputer must transfer the whole complex of works to Russian equipment: from scientific design and research developments to experimental and industrial production.

Recall that today all supercomputers are located either in the United States or in China. The two countries have been fighting a fierce battle in the digital market for a long time.

As for Russia, in the world ranking of supercomputers its software complex "Lomonosov-2", belonging to Moscow State University, ranked 79 out of 500 possible.

According to the forecasts of the leadership of the scientific and production association "Molniya", a new computer for military designers will be ready in a maximum of five years.
