The British company has applied the technology of "Formula 1" for military equipment

BAE System, the British aerospace defense company, was able to reach unprecedented speed heights using Formula-1 racecar suspension technology in the CV90 BMP. These combat vehicles were the first equipment in the world to have an active damping system, which increases the level of comfort and controllability when driving on various types of road surface.

This unique system has long been used in Formula-1 sports cars, and more recently it has been used to create modern, high-priced cars. BAE was able to adapt the technology for armored vehicles weighing more than 30 tons, although earlier it could only be installed on vehicles weighing less than 700 kg.

"The upgraded system was first used on heavy vehicles, moving on tracked tracks. This is a huge success," an employee of BAE Systems shared his impressions.

It is known that the newest suspension will affect not only the increase in speed, but also the maneuverability of the units, which will open up new opportunities for firing while driving. The machine moves more smoothly, thereby reducing the wear and tear on the crew.
