Mina aviation non-contact anchor "Lira" (product 365 UE)

Mina Aviation non-contact anchor "Lira", product 365UP was adopted by the units of the Navy of the USSR in 1956. At the stage of development, it was planned to equip naval aviation units capable of blocking important sea routes as soon as possible. Thanks to the technical innovations used by Soviet engineers, it was possible to obtain a new type of mine weapon that could actively influence the combat situation on the maritime theater of military operations.

Development and creation of mine weapons of a new type

Work on the creation of a conceptually new aviation mine began in 1947. The main design work was carried out at SRI-400, now the Central Research Institute "Hydropribor", St. Petersburg. A team of engineers under the leadership of L.P. Matveyev.

In the process of creation, it was decided to use radically new technical solutions, increasing the combat effectiveness of mine weapons. After carrying out comprehensive bench and field tests, the product under the symbol 365UP was put into service. New aviation contactless anchor mine "Lira" was made in the framework of the dimensions of the FAB-1500 aerial bomb.
