Most often, these are accounts of young girls who first meet and communicate with a man, and then offer to install a malicious application. One of these is called "GlanceLove", it is intended for dating. Another fake application called "GoldenCap" - it shows the results of sporting events.
After the malware is installed in the smartphone, a special program is activated and the collection of all data in the phone begins, starting with the memory of the smartphone and ending with the camera and microphone. All information is transmitted to the criminal gang Hamas. This discovery forced the Israeli military to take care and take appropriate measures, because the security of the entire country was at stake.
For the first time, the Israeli armed forces discovered similar activities in 2017. At that time, rules were introduced restricting the military in the use of social networks, but this did not give the desired effect. In addition, a hotline was created, calling on which any soldier could tell about attempts to break into and steal information.
