Three-dimensional copies of soldiers will be used to create lost limbs.

Scientists working at a leading research center received an offer to scan the bodies of all United States military personnel. The goal of this project is to create the most accurate virtual copies. Thanks to this, on a 3D printer, you can print bones that were damaged or lost during military service. The point is this: it is necessary to create an electronic duplicate of a person in a healthy state, which will allow making a copy of any of its components if necessary. With this report the scientist James Mach spoke at the conference in San José.

"During military conflicts, soldiers can damage or even lose limbs, which have to be restored later. The created three-dimensional copy will help medical specialists to solve this task. The development can provide invaluable assistance to many war veterans," said the scientist

New technologies for learning

Based on the information received, it became known that about two hundred scientific and medical enterprises are currently using virtual operating tables for training, which help to study human anatomy in more detail. The accuracy of the resulting image becomes so high due to ultrasound scanning, X-rays and MRI. This allows medical professionals and students to explore the human insides in the smallest detail.

This development will also help to produce implants that will promote the growth of new bones. It is noted that during the last year surgical interventions with the use of materials printed on a three-dimensional printer are gaining momentum. Due to this, many people again had the opportunity to move in the usual way. The technology is actively developing, constantly opening up new opportunities.
