Negotiations on the production of a Kalashnikov assault rifle in India began last year. And so, the parties came to mutual agreements. By the end of January 2019, the main parameters of the new Russian-Indian joint venture will be formulated.
This was reported in the leadership of the Kalashnikov concern.
It is noteworthy that the Indians have already mastered the production of the Kalashnikov hundredth series. They need the support of the Russian side to improve product quality.
However, in the process of negotiations, the parties came to the conclusion that there are new modifications of the machine, more interesting and modern. And most likely, the joint venture will produce AK-203 series machines, more technically advanced.
In general, according to RIA Novosti, referring to the leadership of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, Russia does not rule out the sale of Kalashnikov assault rifles to India to third countries after the opening of a joint venture.
